The Lounge Chair created by Charles and Ray Eames in the 1950s, was designed with the aim of combining an elegant appearance with maximum comfort. It has since been produced by Vitra using virtually the same methods and is now recognized as a great classic of 20th century furniture design. Offered in two sizes and various configurations with different types of leather upholstery covers, shells and wooden bases, the Lounge Chair is ideally complemented by the matching Ottoman.

Material

Seat and backrest: molded plywood, santos palisander (Bolivia, certified sustainability)
Upholstery/Cover: Removable cushions, leather covers.
Armrests: Upholstered in leather, attached to seat and rear shells with shock mounts (glued rubber and metal connectors).
Cast aluminum base and rear supports.
Gliders: All bases equipped with rigid rug glides
