Zenc Pendant lamp

Zenc's design is inspired by water tanks on New York City's rooftops. For this purpose, Gaspar created a contemporary shape that recalls industrial aesthetics.

A lampshade measuring 44 cm in diameter and 28 cm high surrounds the light source. On the outside, its texture enriches the volume and generates surprise... It seems to be made of metal, more specifically zinc, a material traditionally connected to storage tanks and, like the tanks, even the joints stand out. However, it is produced in two-layer rotomolded polyethylene. Its interior is coated with a white layer so that the light reflects, emanates and attracts attention. And that's where the contrast is created: the exterior is available in a variety of colors - blue, grey, white, red, pale pink and pale yellow - while the interior is always white.

A simple design reminiscent of a circular house, an archetype of essential forms that also work in combination with each other, in different heights and colors, to offer multiple lighting possibilities.

Strolling through New York means looking up, wanting to find out where you end up the skyscrapers. On her last trip to this city, Joan Gaspar looked at the roofs of New York and there, seeing the water tanks, she found the shape for this new design. A unique element that forms part of the city's skyline. Water tanks have been a sign of New York's identity since the early 19th century, and not only are they still there, but, surprisingly, they are still installed, performing the same function.
