The Eames plastic armchair by Vitra DAW combines a wooden base with a curved plastic shell. The name DAW comes from the words Dining Height Armchair Wood Base. Designed by Charles and Ray Eames, Eames plastic chairs are true icons of 1950s design. Their popularity lies in their timeless, ergonomic design and multiple leg options. The original model with a fiberglass seat was the first industrially produced plastic chair, today, the seat of the Eames chair is made from polypropylene.
