The Taio pizza cutter, designed by Valerio Sommella, is an object with smooth and sinuous shapes. Taio resembles a box, a bag into which the pizza cutter has been inserted. The designer managed to recreate the typical softness of fabric in a hard material like steel, giving the item an attractive and sophisticated touch. This feature serves to soften a sharp, everyday object normally associated with an action perceived as dangerous and aggressive.
