This Ionna Vautrin design preserves the subtle essence of a classic, as well as the game it is inspired by. The Pion is a complete set of pieces, the queens and kings are represented by the dining and conference tables. Flexible enough to be used in a variety of situations, from a boardroom or dining room to a restaurant or living room, they turn heads wherever they're placed. Rooks, bishops and knights can find their analogies within a legion of occasional tables and yet the humble pawn, the stool, must not be overlooked. Small and robust, the leather bench has been carefully tanned to match the color of the lacquered base. Sancal has made bold new moves, from high gloss to lacquered base colors have been updated and are now available in a new extra matte finish. The new sizes include the “Bistró” tables (H74-D68 and H74-65x65) and the intermediate height “Tea” tables (H60) with various top diameters, ideal to combine with sunbeds.
